Here is an announcement that I both never thought would but always wanted to happen. When the first Darksiders came out I was pleasantly surprised by the mix of a hack'n'slash and Zelda THQ was able to pull off. The had a rough chunky look but pulled off gameplay that both genres rarely see well. On top of that it dealt with War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse...how cool was that?! Not long after we had Darksiders 2 staring Death who was tasked with fixing what happened in the first (I would say I don't want to spoil the story but that games been out too long. The apocalypse fired off earlier than it was supposed to and in turn had War sent to Earth. Unbeknown to him of course, he arrives and learns the terrible fate that he was blamed. He then is on a journey to find out who or what kicked off the end of the world and why he was falsely accused. Queue 2 where his brother Death is sent to fix/figure out what the hell is going on).
Fast forward to 2017 where THQ was subsequently bankrupted and resurrected as THQ Nordic. Up until this point I believed that Darksiders as a series simply was dead in the water though constant rumblings of its progress was continuing. Wellllllll here we are with the third installment officially a thing. You are now playing the third horseman...(horsewoman?) Fury. This time though you are tasked with taking down the Seven Deadly Sins who have ravished the world. In an attempt to bring the Earth back from its destruction we will have to see what Fury as to offer as "the most powerful" of the horsemen. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think!
