No, this is not a concept design or a photoshop job, it's the newest entry in Nintendos plan to become the handheld Apple. 

The title says it all as this is a 3DS with no 3D capability. It will play all of the regular DS games as well as the 3D ones. It will start at $129.99 and launch at the same time as Poke'mon X and Y.

Interesting design choice in my era but still something I would like to get my hands on and test out.
