Cory Barlog who was the writer and director of God Of War 2 has announced that a new God Of War is in fact in development. Barlog wasn't saying too much on the project apart from a few details. Sony Santa Monica did allow a few details out such as "it is definitely not a prequel", "don't expect to be vivisecting mythological creatures any time soon", and "we hope to share more with you within the next year or two." It is a little unfortunate Sony Santa Monica would announce news like this on a game that most likely wont be on shelves until 2017, but with the recent lay offs and confirmed cancelled project, they may of had no choice. Either way it is great to hear that a new God Of War is coming (even if we all knew one was) to the PlayStation 4.
