PS4 Slim

At Sony's New York theatre today (September 7th), two new hardware iterations were announced. The first one was leaked about a week ago and is called the PS4 Slim. Thats about it honestly, a slightly smaller machine with all the same features the current system has with a couple components moved around.

The bigger announcement was the PS4 Pro, the once reported "NEO." This machine is a PS4 twice as powerful as the current system and comes with a 1TB hard drive. According to Sony this machine is used to compliment the current generation with those tech heads that want more graphical fidelity with 4K/HDR support. Some games will look better, VR games will look better, etc. Here are the official specs below:

All of the past and future games made for the PS4 will be compatible with every iteration of the system whether its the OG/Slim/Pro. So unless you have a 4K TV or just want to future-proof yourself, you are totally fine with your current system.

Let us know what you think of this and the future release of the Scorpio from Microsoft.
