So.... Where to begin?
Some people were really excited for 22 jump street. Some people. Going into it, I expected it to have funny parts, and to leave feeling similar to how I felt about the first one. What I got on the other hand, was a mass amount of scenes that were just... awkward. There was a re-occurring theme that revolved around relationships. In the scenes that used this theme based joke, they dragged them out so long that it became awkward. If they would have done this one time, no big deal, but they reused this joke probably six times, and then ended the movie with a similar, really drawn out joke!
Over-all this movie was more of the same. They made jokes about doing "the exact same thing" the whole movie. That's a blatant slap in the face to the audience. "Did you guys just pay 12 bucks to see 21 jump street in a different setting? YEP LETS REMIND YOU THE WHOLE HOUR AND A HALF"
This movie wasn't not funny, it had its moments, most of which revolving around ice cube. But it did have its moments, and overall It wasn't Channing Tatum or Jonah Hills worst movie, I wouldn't put it anywhere near the top at all.
I'd give this movie a 4/10 and that's probably me being generous, but Jonah Hill always gets me in the worst way, so a 4 it is!
Whatd you guys think? Agree with me, or think I'm completely off base? Let us know in the comments below!
